I find solace in the world of bits and bytes, where every line of code has the potential to create, innovate, and solve problems.
I'm a junior aspiring AI and Machine Learning engineer with one year of hands-on experience exploring how intelligent systems can learn and adapt.
My journey so far includes building small-scale models for data classification, working with tools like Python, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn, and applying core concepts like supervised learning, neural networks, and data preprocessing to real-world problems.
When I'm not coding, I'm diving into AI research papers, participating in online hackathons, or experimenting with projects involving computer vision and natural language processing. I'm passionate about using AI to create solutions that can make a positive impact on society, whether it's through healthcare innovations, environmental monitoring, or enhancing user experiences in technology.
Selected projects demonstrating my technical capabilities in AI systems and full-stack development.
Developed a U-Net based system for automatic segmentation of tumors in CT scans with 89% Dice score accuracy. Includes DICOM viewer integration and radiologist feedback interface.
My educational journey and experience in the world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Zimbabwe. This program has provided me with a strong foundation in key areas such as machine learning algorithms, data structures, neural networks, computer vision, and natural language processing..
I was responsible for maintaining computer systems, assisting with basic troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth internet connectivity within the organisation. During my time there, I also conducted computer literacy lessons for students, covering essential digital skills such as typing, Microsoft Office tools, internet research, and introductory coding. This role allowed me to apply my technical knowledge in a real-world setting while developing soft skills like communication, patience, and teamwork. It was a rewarding experience that deepened my interest in using technology to empower others.
From 2021 to 2022, I completed my Advanced Level studies at Dzivarasekwa High 1. During this time, I focused on developing strong academic discipline, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. My experience at Dzivarasekwa High 1 helped build a solid educational foundation and nurtured my interest in technology, ultimately inspiring me to pursue a degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I also took part in various school activities that enhanced my teamwork and leadership abilities.
From 2016 to 2019, I completed my Ordinary Level studies at Marist Brothers Nyanga High School, a place that played a pivotal role in shaping my character and values. It was here that my natural leadership abilities began to flourish. I was privileged to serve as the Vice President of the INTERACT Club, where we lived by the motto "Service Above Self." This role taught me the importance of community, responsibility, and humility. Marist instilled in me a deep sense of discipline, respect, and the drive to always carry myself as a true gentleman, principles that continue to guide me both academically and personally.
